Payment Policy

Payment for the month ahead is due by the first lesson of each month. Please let us know in advance if you have planned vacations or other conflicts.

Regular one on one lessons are important in order to facilitate your mastery of the instrument and growth as a musician. Cancellations made by 9AM the day of the lesson qualify for either a virtual lesson, an electronic review or a make-up waitlist. Make-ups are not guaranteed and are subject to availability.

Emergencies are dealt with on a case by case basis.
No-shows are not made up.

Studio Policy

Regular practice is essential for steady progress. As little as 10-20 minutes a day can make a tremendous difference for a beginner student.

Parents of younger students are welcome and encouraged to sit in on lessons. If you feel that your child does better with you out of the room, please discuss the lesson with them afterwards — a simple conversation will help solidify the information learned.

Listening to music mindfully will help develop a better understanding of its language. Our students are encouraged to listen to recordings of great musicians as well as attend live performances.

A more detailed Studio Policy can be discussed during our initial meeting along with any questions you might have.
